As far back as 1749 Sombor had the organiyed communal service. The development of the town economy and the fast housing building, imposed the needs for the organization od one more communal branch - Production and Distribution of heating energy.
As the heat, besides water and air, is one of the basic needs of life, the Municipality of Sombor has founded the Public Communal Enterprise "Energana" which has its basic activity the production and distribution of the heat energy.
To-day, the enterprise delivers the heat energy to 4.000 flats and it has a considerable number of the economic users (130).
The installed productive capacities are about 50 MW. The length of the heating system is 13km. there about hundred of substations.
However "Energana", besides the boiler rooms, pipes, heat substations... it also consists of people who are involved un that technical system. The team work and the unselfish eagerness of our people is directed to satisfaction of our consumers' needs.
The terrain service of "Energana" is at your disposal fo 24 hours a day so that on the complaint of break down it intervens in the shortest time.
